Platin 2 – the abrasive with outstanding finishing qualities.

Platin 2 is to surface brilliance what Titan 2 is to all-round application: finish sanding of fillers before painting, light sanding of transitions before blending, sanding bad spots after painting – all finishing work can be carried out quickly, easily and above all safely with Platin 2.

Platin 2 is tailored to all high-grade surfaces in its grit, in particular to working on surfaces freshly painted with two-component acrylic paints. The abrasive compounds made of silicon-carbide are, on the one hand, hard and on the other hand defined in such a way that they break off when the pressure is too high, in order to not damage the surface. The support medium is made of an air-permeable fabric-foam-velour combination. It balances out the surface pressure, acts as a dampener that nevertheless gives the abrasive compounds a stable hold. Platin 2 nestles onto the paint structure and provides perfect results: superfine, brilliant surfaces with minimum surface roughness – optimally prepared for painting and polishing.

Platin 2 S4000 can, for example, sand surfaces with a surface roughness of just 0.3 μm. The minimal surface roughness enables you to achieve high-gloss surfaces with just one polishing run.

Nearly 100% of the sanding dust is extracted through the disc. This ensures that the air, workpiece and surroundings are kept virtually free of dust. This is better for your health and saves you additional work.
